Polis Wins BJA Award to Conduct Review of Neighborhood-based Leadership Development Efforts in Distr

On August 18, 2016, Polis Solutions received notice of an award of BJA funding to conduct a comprehensive review, at both the local and national level, of the literature, academic research, and current programming (e.g., training, curricula, and models) on building resident leadership to support community capacity to reduce crime and increase community safety in distressed and high-crime neighborhoods. Article in Police Chief Magazine Recommends T3 Training

An article in the most recent Police Chief Magazine features T3 as a way to reduce use of force: "Agencies should consider advancing their training on community engagements, including police-citizen encounters. One such training method is the Tact, Tactics, and Trust (T3) approach, which could reduce many uses of force and deadly force applications by teaching perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral skills that can lead to successful social interactions, using a range of real-world techniques and exercises."
